Programme

Day 1:
Full day at the Akhalteke Horse Sports Complex: racing, showjumping and acrobatic seasonal horse festivities. A full day dedicated to the National Horse Day. Overnight: 3 star hotel

Day 2+3:
Sightseeing tour of Ashgabat: Marble City, Wedding Palace, Neutrality Arch, Independence Park, Ferries Wheel, Constitution Tower, Memorial Complex, Old Nisa (UNESCO), Turkmenbashi Mosque. Traditional lunch in a yurt. Visit to the huge local street market (Gulistan Bazaar), including a local dinner. Overnight: 3 star hotel.
Drive through Karakum desert to Darvaza gas crater (280 km – 3.5 hours). Sightseeing and walking around the Karakum Spark. Traditional dinner in Darvaza.

Day 4 to Day 11:
All day horse riding, up to 60 km each day, all gaits (walk, trot, canter). For advanced riders only – purebred Achaltekin stallions will be available. The route will be from Ashgabat east to Mary and then north to the city of Turkmenabad and will be fine-tuned in advance. Food via a luxury picnic. Night in hippodromes or tent.

Day 12:
Last day of the ride. Arrival at Ashgabat, dinner. Overnight: 3 star hotel.

Day 13:
Transfer to the airport for departure.
